The Opera in a Box program offers kids a look into the exciting world of opera through an interactive presentation. A teaching artist from the Arizona Opera will teach children how action and emotion portray a story to the audience, even when the language is foreign. Activities using facial expressions and body language get kids on their feet and into the show! Kids will then be broken into small groups to act out their own mini performances using props and costumes provided by the Arizona Opera. 20 children with 1 caregiver chaperone each. Free program, but space is limited. Please RSVP to Caitlin King at cking@childmusephx.org or 602.648.2750.
