Exploring Environments that Nurture Language and Literacy

SouthwestHumanDevelopment

One of Southwest Human Development’s literacy experts will teach parents how to create a language-rich environment at home, and how to integrate reading and talking into bedtime, bath time, and outside of the home in locations such as the grocery store or mall. Parents will also learn about the importance of routines and predictability in children’s lives.  This workshop includes story time, an art activity, singing and dancing.  Each child will receive a new book to take home.  www.swhd.org  Please click here to print your tickets. Admission into the Museum is FREE when you pre-register for this program. www.swhd.org.
