One of Southwest Human Development’s literacy experts will give parents/caregivers strategies on how to incorporate interactive talking and learning experiences into everyday life, and discover ways to extend and enrich literacy based activities. Parents/caregivers will also learn the value of early and frequent verbal interactions with their children.  Child observation, staying in the moment, and parents’ role in language development will be discussed. This workshop is deigned for children ages birth to five plus a parent/caregiver and includes story time, an art activity, singing and dancing.  Each child will receive a new book to take home.
