It’s Literacy Month! Join featured authors from, Loving Literacy Authors, each Tuesday for special Storytimes at the Museum! Loving Literacy Authors is an innovative consortium of several local Phoenix children’s book authors and illustrators, who are former teachers, librarians, and passionate literacy advocates. They are dedicated to helping improve the reading and writing skills of Arizona’s children with an engaging, unique program. Today’s authors are Rita Goldner and Eileen Pieczonka. Rita Goldner is a big fan of Mother Nature and a good adventure story. She uses illustrations and words that make reading fun. Eileen and her therapy dogs create an unforgettable, fun learning experience while presenting in the CASEL SEL framework. She is the Founder of Loving Literacy Authors, Board Member of the Artists of the Superstitions, and is a therapy dog team volunteer for the Chandler Police Dept. and Pawsitive Friendships. To learn more about Loving Literacy Authors follow along @lovingliteracyauthors on social media. Admission into this program is free with paid Museum admission.
