One of Southwest Human Development’s literacy experts will educate parents on the importance of sharing family stories as a way to enhance early language and literacy, and the use of storytelling to preserve culture and heritage. Parents will share special stories about their own families and the trainer will discuss ways to extend these memories into make-believe, predictions, and print. This workshop is designed for children ages birth to five plus a parent/caregiver and includes story time, an art activity, singing and dancing. Each child will receive a new book to take home. Admission into the Museum is FREE when you pre-register for this program. Space is limited.  Please click here for tickets.
