Yixuan Lai is a violinist, violist, educator, and community arts practitioner based in Tucson, Arizona. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Violin Performance at the University of Arizona, where she also studies orchestral and choral conducting.
Through performances and interactive educational programs, Yixuan connects music with storytelling, history, culture, and creative expression. She has presented programs in museums, libraries, schools, and community spaces, creating welcoming musical experiences for children and families.
During her Front Row Friday program, young audiences will experience the sound of the violin up close, explore how music can express characters, emotions, and stories, and participate through listening, movement, imagination, and guided interaction. No prior musical experience is needed.
