Kawambe-Omowale African Drum & Dance Theatre

Kawambe-Omowale African Drum & Dance Theatre celebrates and offers a glimpse into the cultural expressions of African Peoples south of Sahara and their African diaspora through performances of drumming, dancing, singing, storytelling, and traditional audience engagement and participation. Kawabme-Omowale is a Phoenix-based arts company now celebrating 40 years in the Valley of the Sun! They have performed throughout the state of Arizona, as well as outside of our state. Through public and private performances, workshops, arts and crafts programs, and our weekly community drum and dance class, Kawambe-Omowale invites you to experience the brilliance and joy of captivating African art forms!
