Making to learn – ASU’s STEAMtank!
May 2 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
STEAMtank is a transdisciplinary class for ASU students to create children’s museum exhibits that teach kids Kindergarten through 8th Grade about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math through imaginative play in a fun-filled environment. The goal is to create a sense of wonder for younger students and get them started learning about STEAM at an early age. In this year-long class, student teams do research, analysis, brainstorming, designing, prototyping, and ultimately the building of their own museum exhibit concepts! For their final this year, the STEAMtankers will bring 2 of their exhibits to the Children’s Museum of Phoenix on Friday, May 9th, 9:30 am – 12:30 pm. Come by and see what they’ve come up with and help them kid-test their exhibit concepts!
STEAMtank is part of the InnovationSpace program at the Design School at ASU’s Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. Learn more by visiting design.asu.edu/innovationspace
