Self-Control is Your Superpower with Author Shamirrah Hill

Join children’s author and social-emotional learning specialist Shamirrah Hill at the Museum for an exciting morning of movement, storytelling, creativity, and social-emotional learning fun!
Families can attend one or both interactive sessions designed to help children explore emotions, kindness, confidence, and self-control through play, imagination, and audience participation.
10:00am – Movement Session
An energetic, physical theatre-inspired experience featuring movement games, call-and-response activities, emotion exploration, and hands-on SEL fun designed especially for active young learners and drop-in families.
11:00am – Interactive Storytime
A full storytime experience featuring creative movement breaks, audience interaction, social-emotional learning discussions, and engaging read-aloud moments centered around kindness and self-control.
