Three Sisters Planting
October 14 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am
It’s Indigenous Peoples’ Day! Stop by the Children’s Garden to learn about traditional “three sisters” planting method. Through companion planting, these complementary “sisters” of corn, beans, and squash work together to grow rich in nutrients. For many Native American communities, these “sisters” represent the most important crops, providing a complete and balanced diet.
