Melodies in Motion: An Inclusive Music Experience for Young Children and Caregivers
April 23 @ 9:30 am - 10:00 am
Sing, move, & play in this FREE inclusive music experience! Join us for five weeks of joyful, interactive music sessions designed for young children and their caregivers! Led by trained graduate students from Arizona State University’s (ASU) Music Therapy program and the Music for Better Beginnings Lab, these sessions blend music-making, movement, and visual supports to support motor, social, cognitive, and language development. Classes will be held every Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM, March 26-April 23, at the Children’s Museum of Phoenix.
While not a music therapy program, these sessions use evidence-based, inclusive practices to create a welcoming and engaging experience for all children. Families with neurodivergent little ones, especially autistic children, are highly encouraged to register and attend. Plus, participants will be invited to stay and play in the Museum after class! This program is geared towards children 1-5 years old. Space is very limited and participants MUST register ahead of time. Sign up by emailing programs@childmusephx.org.
