It’s a night of playful elegance, surprising moments, and unforgettable celebration. Don’t miss the magic! PoP! supports our Every Child Program, which ensures that the Museum’s sensational exhibits and play experiences are accessible to all children in our community.

Gala Co-Chairs:
Michael Mazzocco and Nicole Wheatcroft

Michael moved to the Valley of the Sun in 2006 from New York City. He quickly became immersed in the community by joining boards and committees here in Phoenix. In 2017, he started his business, Michael Mazzocco Events, producing events around town for some of the biggest non-profits and helping people make lifelong memories. He joined the board of the Greater Phoenix Equality Chamber of Commerce in 2019 and was the Board President by 2021. In 2023, he was appointed by Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego to serve as Chair of the City of Phoenix Human Relations Commission, where he leads efforts to promote equity and eliminate discrimination across the city. Michael Mazzocco is now a candidate for Phoenix City Council in District 4.

Nicole is a Certified Public Accountant and seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in Arizona School Finance. Her extensive background in financial management is matched by her deep commitment to advocacy within the disability community. Nicole is dedicated to creating inclusive, supportive spaces where all children can thrive. As a Board Member of the Children’s Museum of Phoenix, Nicole is passionate about ensuring that all children, including those with disabilities, have access to the power of play. She also served as Treasurer for GiGi’s Playhouse Phoenix, where she helped the organization provide financial expertise, resources, and life-changing programs to more than 1,200 individuals with Down syndrome and their families across the greater Phoenix area. Nicole is a devoted parent to Lincoln, 11, and Jude, 9, who, in addition to being a source of joy, has Down syndrome and autism. She is married to Secretary of State, Adrian Fontes, and is the stepmother to his three children, Olivia, 20, Isabella, 17, and Adrianna, 15.
